The Parish Council wishes everyone a happy New Year. 01/01/2012

Due to the resignation of Mr G Cotton and new Parish Councilor was elected, by vote, by the parishiners of Gilberdyke.  Mr C Newsome was elected by a majority of 229 to 83.  The Parish Council congratulates Mr Newsome in his election win and his new role as a Parish Councilor. 16/12/2011

Phase two of the flooding scheme has now started and should take a matter of a few weeks to complete.  15/12/2011

Phase one of the drainage system is complete.  Recent rainfall which has been as much as 25cm in a few hours has already tested the system which so far has stood up to what has been thrown at it.  When phase's 2 and 3 are complete we will have a significant defence against flooding in Gilberdyke. 13/08/2011

Emergency Plan: The parish council is asking for volunteers for support in emergencies.  We are asking people with tractors, boats and other useful emergency equipment to be available in an emergency.  Anyone wishing to support the emergency plan should contact Paul Bryan on tel:440640 state emergency plan assistance and how you can assist. 14/06/2011
